You need at least 100# of consistent air pressure to eject the plastic collating from the nail, but otherwise, these are practically free. Buy them.

Nails nail in very nicely

These long ring shanks for some reason are basically impossible to find even in good lumber and building stores. You can order them from a couple of outfits like Home Depot, but I have Prime and it's nice to get these in a couple of days with no shipping fees. I have used about 7,000 of these guys into roof framing, using a Harbor Freight 21 degree framing nailer. This is the biggest nail that thing will take. It takes about 110 lbs of air to drive them all the way. Once in a while I get a misfire but I think only once did a nail actually get stuck in the gun, and you could just as well chalk that up to the nailer rather than the nails I suppose. Good price, good product.

When you fire these in, you better mean it.

These things drive in great with the Freeman framing nailer. They hold so well, you need to make sure you are positive you are going to keep the nail there, because they are a total pain in the butt to pull back out if you put one in the wrong spot or change your mind. They are long and nasty looking and look likely to hold whatever you are nailing together for the next few decades easily.
