Sinks them

I didn't want to spend the much higher price on DeWalt which I've already bought into on batteries so got this and the battery converter works great. The compressed air mechanism on this gun is way quieter than the inertia firing mechanism on DeWalts. Love when the cheap options workout

Powerful and handy

This is a very powerful nail gun. I put some 21° - 3" Ring-shank nails in it (they did not come with the machine) and it worked just as expected with no jamming after several strips of nails. It is a little on the heavy side, but it's very convenient. Not sure if I would want to frame with it all day if I did carpentry for a living, but for small homeowner projects like a shed or room remodel, or in a pinch, it works great. The battery itself seems a little on the cheap end of the scale, as the lights are obstructed by poorly molded plastic, but it still worked fine. It really drove the nails in great, and even some got overdriven, but that's adjustable right at the end. I like this nail gun and recommend it!

framing kit

It is big and at least it works well but you have to provide your own nails as it doesn't come with any included. It works battery operated as well so you don't have to plug in an air compressor. Good use for framing or building a little shed or a deck and so forth.

Nice Framing Nailer

This is a nice heavy duty framing nailer. It's quite heavy with the battery and packs quite a punch so wrist protection is probably a good idea. The instruction manual is written well. At first I was having issues getting the nails to be flush even with the depth adjuster so I decided to see how much air pressure there was in the back--mine was only at 60 psi and the manual states that it should be at 100. It's a very simple procedure to add more air pressure and after that I could get the nails flush or counter sink them. It's nice not to have to worry about cords getting in the way. It seems well made and durable. It comes with a battery, charger, and bag to hold it all in. It does not come with nails, so make sure you have some! Overall I'm very pleased with it.

Great gun, even better battery life

I bought this gun for decks, rafters, lighter framing, etc. It has performed above my expectations. Battery lasts all day. Only disadvantage is how heavy it is but I think it is worth it. Only had 1 jam after putting well over 1000 nails through it and was fairly easy to clear.

This is a workhorse, but heavy

There's obviously a trade-off when you remove the need for an air compressor on a nail gun. You lose the tether, but you gain a lot of extra weight. This nail gun is heavy, but it works beautifully, and the charge lasts for dozens--if not hundreds--of nails. This is great for framing, but you just need to decide what your needs are. Are you cool with the added weight of dragging around a one-stop shop around the jobsite, or do you sacrifice portability for less weight? The nail driver works as well as any I have ever used, and it's as easy as attaching a battery-powered air pump to charge it up when the pressure is low. For me, the convenience is well worth it. You've also go the added benefit of adjustable depth and a brushless motor (which I hear is better for durability over time). Both the single-shot and tap firing work perfectly on standard studs, and the interchangeable battery will be great if I ever get any other Freeman tools. Honestly, this nailer has made a very good first impression.

Powerful Nailer

This is a pretty powerful nailer, it went through a couple 2x4s with no problem. It's very straightforward to use and the battery comes already juiced. No nails are included, otherwise you could open it and be working within 5 mins. Everything fits nicely in the included carry case. I like my DIY projects and this is a nice addition to my tool collection.I started on the bench I wanted to create - yay

Average quality framing nailer

This is a fairly hefty cordless framing nailer. It comes with a charger and one battery. Frankly I would prefer two batteries - even if they held half the capacity. (Then you could be charging one battery while using the other.) It works reasonably well, although the nails jam from time to time.

hits hard w/ little cushioning, clearing a nail is a challenge

While this looks to be a well made nail gun, I found that you really feel it in your wrist. I have a pneumatic framing nailer that does not have the kick this one does. This certainly has a use when you don't want to lug around a compressor and hoses, but I can see using this all day is going to require some wrist protection. Like others, I did have a problem driving a large nail home which may be an adjustment. Unlike a pneumatic nailer, you cannot adjust the air pressure. I did not exhaust the battery, though others said they shot 1000 nails on a full charge. There is no indication of where to get an extra battery which is a real problem! You also have to remove a few screws to clear a jamb, not just flip a lever like on some guns. This comes with a soft case though I prefer a hard case for tools like this as they always get banged around. I do think the price is quite high compared to a pneumatic nailer, but seems to be in line with other cordless tools.
