Good gun

It was tight when I first started using it. It took about 100 staples to start sinking staples the correct depth

Flooring Down

This stapler appears to be very well made with lots of features that more expensive guns have.Hopefully it will hold up as well as the expensive name brand guns.

Did my floors and was cheaper than the hardware store.

The wife and I put down floors in our entry, hall, kitchen, family room, stairs and landing and had no problems with this nail gun. It is the same gun my hardware store was going to order for me but was much cheaper here and I git it quicker. I'm not sure it would hold up well for a full time floor installer, the guide is plastic and the gun is light weight. Perfect for the do it yourself home owner who's putting down a few hundred square feet of flooring. Oil it, use the proper air pressure, drain the water from your air tank frequently and nail away.

worked well for a little while

I purchased this for some 3/8" floor (about 1200 sf). It worked well for the first 600 sf or so then it wouldn't fire a staple. It wasn't jammed but it did just stop working altogether. I ended up getting a refund (the seller was very helpful). I did not replace the unit because I saw a youtube video showing how to use a brad nailer at a 45 degree angle at the tongue of the floor and this ended up being the perfect solution for me. Shooting brad nails was MUCH faster then this stapler mostly because quite a bit of attention was required to make sure this stapler was exactly where it needed to be on the tongue. This is more a function of the very thin lip on a 3/8" piece of floor as opposed to a defect in the tool itself (which I don't believe is the case). If I had to have a floor stapler again for thin flooring I would consider repurchasing but I would be far more likely to whip out my brad nailer and get the job done.

Good quality gun from reliable company.

Great flooring gun, I wish that guide plate made out of milled aluminum and not plastic, but of course price will be higher so I'm happy with purchase.

Great

Have used this tool on wood flooring. Approaching 2000 sq ft of flooring. Using 1" staples. I set the guide up once and have not had to set it since. No jams- works every time I pull the trigger and I am pretty quick. I would recommend. Of course there are other uses in the future besides floors that I think the gun will be great at.

The right tool for the job. As simple as that.

Product was amazing. Coupled with the price and quick shipping I couldn't be happier. Once set up and compressor set up, every staple was driven perfectly. Will be using to install another 300 sq. ft. of engineered hardwood.Had started the job using the traditional hammer type gun. It's amazing how much quicker and easier it was using this stapler. Especially for engineered hardwood which is thinner than traditional hardwood and the big stapler doesn't always sit in the notch the correct way.If you are nailing down engineered hardwood, just go out and buy this. You won't regret it.

Great deal on a great product

Installed 3/8" engineered wood floors with it. I had to set it on approx 120 psi to shoot the staples deep enough. I used 1 1/4" nucor staples (Im not sure how thick the plywood subfloor is but it's at least 3/4" maybe more). Air compressor I have is 150 psi max. I stapled through the tongue side of the boards, not the groove side. You need to test the gun and air compressor settings to get the right depth. I tested several staples into the same end of a piece so that portion could be cut off and the rest of the board still used. Take your time and make sure the gun is seated on the tongue of the board so the staple hits the tongue and not the top of the board (did this a couple times when I was foolishly hurrying). There's a small step-like pattern on the floor mount, so put the edge of the little step on top the tongue of the board and the bottom feet of the mount on the subfloor (the vertical edge of the step will be touching against the side of the top face of the wood piece and the vertical edge of the mount feet will be pressing against the tongue of the wood piece, hopefully I'm explaining that well). The staple will fire into the tongue and down thru the board totally hidden and perfect. If you seat the gun in the proper position it's very consistent. I had no varying depths of the nail, and there was no misfires or jams - not one. This is my first nail gun so I'm no expert and this gun is perfect.

Great Product!! Highly Recommend!!

I'm just about finished installing 1000 sq ft of 1/2" engineered hardwood flooring and have yet to have a single issue with this nailer. It's shot about 3000 1/4" x 1 1/2" narrow crown staples without a single malfunction.

Great gun for the money

Works great. I bought this thinking that for the price I would throw it away after the one job. Boy was I wrong, this is a great little nail gun for the money. My only complaint is when using it in the straight mode there isn't a no-mar pad attachment so unless you have a different gun for this( luckily I do ) you will mark up the flooring surface . So be careful

perfect tool

I ordered porta nail gun but it was delaying, and I needed sooner so I ordered the freeman gun and I'm very happy with my purchase. I installed around 2000 sq feet of engineered wood it never missed or jammed any staples.

Fantastic

18 Gauge Floor Stapler showed up on time and worked perfectly on 3/8 stranded Bamboo flooring in my master bathroom. Used 3/4" staples allowing for approx. 1/2" penetration into subfloor. Drove in staples at consistent angle and depth. Prior to arriving I used my 18 gauge brad nailer which worked, but was slower and I had a few misplaced nails

It works, satisfied

Used this on 500 sq ft of engineers oak flooring. You have to be careful that the air pressure adn reserve capacity of you compressor stays up high (100psi) otherwise it won't drive staples in all the way.

Flooring nailer works satisfactorily.

Has worked very well for installing engineered hardwood. Reasonable cost. Has a few misfires every now and then.

Better than renting

I recently purchase this nailer to save on pricy rental fees from the local Home Depot. First of all I must add the shipping was quite fast. Once I revived the nailer I immediately put it to use. Setting up the boot for easy thickness of floor is a little teadious but easy. A couple drops of oil before each use and no jams or miss fires. The down side I found to the nailer is the boot. It's easy to set up, but I found it's a little tricky to find the sweet spot. It isn't as firm as I would have thought but still works great. I would buy again for the price.

Great product

The owners manual needs to have clearerInstructions on how to adjust for different floor thickness. Once I figured that out it was great

Exceptional choice!

Great quality, great price, very happy with it. My only somewhat negative comment is that the floor attachment is cumbersome to setup so that you can staple quickly.

Very good deal for the price. Gets the job done with only a couple annoyances.

I purchased this nail/staple gun to install an engineered hardwood floor. I had my reservations about the quality of this product given its relative low price and some comments on this page. To my surprise this product met all of my needs. It adequately drove all the staples in to the correct depth and had some level of depth adjustment (although it wasn't perfect). The only major issue I had was my own use error when my compressor got unplugged and would not drive in the staples far enough. I would give this product 5 stars except for the design of the interchange between the flooring attachment and the standard attachment. It is not a quick change and the o-ring that is used to retain the mounting pin is annoying to take off. Also, aligning the mounting pin can be tricky. Other than that I am very happy with this purchase.
