So-So Nailer

Solid design and nice mallet that comes with it. However have found some things that could be better. If the nails are loaded, make sure it is sitting flat on the floor when connecting the air supply. It has a habit of firing off a nail every once in a while. Have been using 2" cleats on my 3/4 oak flooring however at max PSI, it will still not flush hammering the nails. It leaves them up about 3/8" to which every nail I have to go back and use a regular hammer to drive the cleats down flush on the flooring tongue. Very annoying. Jammed nails do not happen very often.

Solid Nailer, with one small caveat

Nailer works great with 18ga cleats on solid hickory, very minor splitting of tongues once pressure dialed in.Would be 5 stars, but the drive blade chipped during first project. Finding replacement part was not straight forward.

Worked just fine

Installed about 800 sqft of hardwood. Ran just fine. Had one jam that cleared in a piece of scrap. Not too bad.

There are better nailers to be had

I won't be listed as a "verified buyer" because this was purchased by my friend to install 900 sq. ft. of 3/4" solid maple tongue and groove. I did the install. Despite lubricating it frequently, this nailer jammed often. I would pay a bit more for one that didn't jam so much. Even though I torqued the mounting screws, the foot plate came loose on occasion, one time the protruding screw heads ruined a 12' run before it was noticed.

Great nailer!!

I got this nailer to lay the Brazilian Cherry hardwood flooring in the photo. I also used the 18 ga Freeman L-cleats. Once I got used to how hard to strike the head, the nailer worked great. A few split tongues, but that is a common problem with Brazilian Cherry, and less splitting then with other nailers I have used. Nailer jammed twice for the floor shown, and easy to clear the jams with the provided hex wrenches. Jams were a nail issue anyway, and not the fault of the nailer. I bought the nailer and it looked brand new. As a result the cost was the same as 3 days of a rental, and the flooring took me 5-6 days total, so definitely a win-win as I still have the nailer to use for my next job vs. a rental that would have cost more for the 5 days.

Good nailer

Worked well. No jammed nails. Used to install 1/2" engineered hardwood floor. Used scrap flooring to set psi.

Great floor nailer for the price and easy to use

Great product for the money. Easy to set up and get started. One of the only 16 & 18 gauge floor nailers that I could find. I like that you just replace the pads on the bottom for the thickness of wood that you are putting down. Better than having to adjust the height on most floor nailers. Overall great buy and worth the money.

Great nailer for engineered wood

This nailer is great! No mis fires. I'm using 18guage 1 3/4 " cleats on 9/16 engineered hard wood. It sinks them in nicely, spot on in the grove! And it only take about 60 lbs of pressure.

Great Value!!!

This floor nailer worked great for my entire project. I had 1500 sq. ft. of hardwood flooring that I installed with only two misfires which were my errors not the fault of the tool. This is a great tool that was very easy to use. I can't imagine a more expensive tool would have performed any better.

Could be better

Frustrating performance with 18 gauge cleats jamming in the delivery slope, i suspect the dual gauge feature fails to deliver the smaller cleats correctly, i.e a compromise that results in more jams. So many from my perspective that I am going to buy another gun rather than waste so much time clearing jams.

worked as advertised

Put down a 300 sq foot bamboo floor and worked perfect. Only had one jam and was really impressed with ease of use. I would definitely recommend this product

Floor nailer

This is a good nail gun for DIY remodelers. Great price too. Worked great to install our 750 square foot of bamboo floors. It appears that it will last too. Company back the product really well too.

Flawless performance

I could not be happier with this tool. I bought it to install 1300 sq/ft of 9/16 solid Cali Bamboo using 18 gauge cleats.Never once did this gun misfire, jamb or mar the surface. The hammers hard side is great for positioning material and the rubber side works well for forcing boards in any direction.I had read that some gun brands don't work well if you don't strike the pad directly. I am a novice so many times I only hit the edge of the pad and even then, it never failed to set the cleat perfectly.I plan on selling it as used. I only wish it were good for something else because I hate to get rid of it.

Good nail gun

I installed 2800 sq ft with this nail gun. I installed both bamboo and engineered hardwood. Overall it is a good gun, but the floor plate is to material that picks up and traps all sorts of materials that start scratching the floor as you install. I found if you put some masking tape on it seemed to help with scratching. The only other issue which may have been the flooring, but sometimes if would not drive a nail fully and you would have to finish with a nailset. Overall a good gun for the money.

Easy to use, does not jam

I used this flooring nailer for 650 square feet of 1/2" solid strand Bamboo flooring and it only jammed on me when I tried to use it too close to a wall and didn't strike it correctly. It worked great and I would highly recommend to anyone needing a flooring nailer to install Bamboo flooring. I used 18-gauge L cleats. I put 2-3 drops of oil in nailer at the start of each day and this was plenty of lubricant.

Worked perfectly but was not balanced.

I installed 3/4 x 5" thick hardwood with this nailer. The mallet is very heavy and stiff, which is great for snugging up the planks. I once put a nail directly on top of another nail and thought that I might have damaged the nailer, but it was o.k. The only reason this is not getting 5 stars is because the nailer would sometimes fall off of the plank if you let it go. I think it could have been better balanced, but maybe all nailers have this condition. I don't know. Overall a good product with a great warranty.

Great Flooring Nailer

Used the Flooring nailer to nail approximately 1500 nails for my hardwood floor. Only 6 nails did not properly nail flush to the floor. That's not bad at all!

Quality nailer

Worked very well on eucalyptus. Drove 18 gauge cleats with ease. Missed or jammed a couple times over the course of firing about 5k cleats, overall performed very well. I’d buy it again.

Excellent nailer, very pleased

I purchased this nailer for a bamboo flooring installation, and I am very happy with how it performed. There were only a few jams throughout the installation, and clearing the jammed nails was quick. This company's customer service is excellent, and I can certainly say that I would purchase their products again. My only wish is that a box for the nailer was included.

5000 18 gage cleats and counting.

Worked great shot 5000 cleats so far no jams or issues. Going through Bamboo without problems when my finishing nailers can’t get through.

Nailed it!

I just spent a weekend installing a large bamboo floor and this nailer NAILED IT! Not a single misfeed, jamb or hiccup the entire time. So glad I didn't rent, but bought this gem. It will be doing the floors of friends and family for many years to come. Man I love good stuff!

Great nailer all around hands down. Just slowere than rolling nailers

Great nailer for bamboo. Its now my back up in case my pro nailer fails. primatech surfer rollers. 2x the speed for installing. But i still love this nailer for price and quality. if it had rollers id never got the primatech.
