Perfect gun for big or small jobs

Great so far

I haven't used this a great deal just using it for home projects but so far it's really great. If you load thee nails backwards it will bend the nails in the wood I just found out loading it in a rush but the nailer was undamaged in spite of me misloading it. I put oil in the air connection every time i use it and it works fantastic. Saves buying 22 shells with this design. saves your wrist hammering too. I highly recommend this. Very pleased.

no case

Product arrived with no case and looked like the box had been through a grinding mill. I have contacted Freeman about the missing case and will wait to see what the result is.

Great value

We bought this because we are going to build a deck in our garden area and knew that having a pneumatic nailer would really make the job easier. I will update this review after we've begun the project. In the meantime though, we have built a couple of small work tables, and this made the work much faster. It is well made and easy to use, and came at a very reasonable cost.

Surprisingly Good Performance

I bought this nail gun for a single project - building a catio (cat patio) for my two Bengals. I started looking and sorted by customer reviews. Not surprisingly, the top rated were names like Bostitch and Milwaukee, and costing $210 - $335. In the middle of them was this gun, priced at $113, and it included a storage case.I already owned a Bostitch connector nail gun and I was tempted, but I couldn't justify the extra $100 for a gun I might never use again. That's why the case is such a big deal. It's nothing fancy, but it holds the tool and will protect it until (if!) I need it again. Oh yes, it also came with a small vial of oil. That's not a big deal because that stuff is pretty cheap, but it could save a time-sucking run to the store just when you're getting started. If you're a pro, you're probably not looking here anyways, and this might not be the right gun for daily use. But, for the DIY that wants to control costs, I recommend this tool. Over the course of the Catio, I had no real issues. There'd be an occasional dry fire, usually after I'd reloaded. I'd also have occasional nails standing half-inch proud. I attribute that to my compressor. It's a small tank and designed for low-noise, not huge volumes. I think the gun asked for more air than the compressor could handle.I never tested the bump firing mode. I might be a skilled DIY, but I'm also nearly 70 and I'll leave that for the pros.

STEAL of a DEAL product a Banger for the wallet

Not going to lie, I was hesitant when purchased it. This nailer is my first nailer ever. It has a beautiful finish to look at and you kinda don't want to scuff it up. As a DIYer who is turning into a novice construction person. this nail gun has performed excellently for my project of a 1200 sq house remodel. However, after purchasing a Bostitch 21-degree nailer, there are some differences I would like to sharePro: redirect airflow (great)Powerful nailer (too good at times)molded cases ( a must)Cons:heavier than Bostitch magnesium castingno rafter hook, this is a must feature because of the weight of the item, you need to be able to hook it to your tool belt, ladder, etcDouble fire, it may be the airflow coming from your compressor or the sensitivity of the triggerno adjustable nailer firing rate, it will put through the wood at timesOverall, it is a go, buy it up. For the price point, Freeman could even match Bostitch with the addition of an adjustable rafter hook and nailer fire adjustor. Now for the longevity of the item, I don't know, but it is built solid as a rock so I believe it will last a long time if you make sure to oil it every time before using

Great Value

Bought this for a modest DIY project. A bit on the heavy side, but works flawlessly. Very pleased with the apparent build quality at this price point. Including a case is an added appreciated bonus.

Freeman 21° Framing Nailer

I just got my Freeman nailer, I haven't used it yet but i must say, I'm impressed! That i know of no other company offers a storage case for their Framing Nailer. Freeman went out of their way to make this feel professional. I started to get the Metabo, then i looked at the Numax and i thought, "I guess i could just cover it up and throw under a shelf, would be nice if it had a case to protect it" then i saw the Freeman, nice touch! Two things1. I wish it had an actuator switch, thats a big reason i looked at Metabo.2. Its heavy! I weighed it on a digital scale and it sits at 8.8 lbs before you load it wth nails, we're talking easily over 9 lbs loaded. Again, its a very attractive tool, comes wth a nice protective case, really like that. I gave it only 4 stars because it is so heavy. Ok..im reposting this. After further research, im returning this Freeman, its just too heavy, the Metabo is over a lb lighter

Quality Nailgun

I bought this nailgun to build a garden shed. It worked flawlessly. I've used other nailguns that cost more, but they didn't work any better than this one.

Heavy

This is a great nail gun. It's designed for a guy that is really strong. By the end of the day if your old like me, your arms are really tired and so are you. Plus you should have a really good compressor, I had a smaller one which worked but, it had all it could do to pump in one nail at a time, no rapid firing like you should be able to do. Nice nail gun! P.S. By the way, a good stiff Jack Daniels after a full day is what the doctor ordered.

Value performance

I am not a contractor so I can not comment on running 1000+ rounds a day through this gun. Ran a couple hundred the other day. 1 jam. Easy clear. It will take 2 strips of 25+. Do not run the gun to zero nails. Reload at 10 in the chamber. Single trigger fire or tap fire. Worked excellent on the first run. I was shooting metabo stainless 304 round head ring shank 21 degree. 2-3/8 x .113. Went well. I got this for $125.00? With a nice hard case, Allen wrenches, and oil. I see this gun on Amazon being sold for $169.00 no case. Do your homework and shop. So far.. so good.

Great nailer

This is a nice nailer. Easy to load. Shoots nails every time. Doesn't spit the plastic in your face like Metabo does. It's nice that it comes with a case, oil and tools.

Nailed It!

Purchased this based on solid reviews and good price to do some framing work for a porch patio. Could not be happier with this nail gun. It never misfired, was a reasonable weight and did a great job for me. This was a great benefit given all the work was done on ladders where you don’t want to have issues with tools. Highly recommend this nail gun!

Good to put to work.

I've bought other name brand guns and they break, this one is perfect for work all day and it comes with a case.

good value

My Porter Cable self destructed right at the exact wrong moment as usual. This nailer fit my current budget, toe-nailed well and did not jam once in a gazillion nails. What is not to like? Comes in a case to keep it fresh. A bit on the heavy side but I still have my man card.

Big and heavy, but gets the job done nicely.

The gun is big and it's heavy. But, it works flawlessly and the case is really nice. Adjustment of the driving force is fairly easy so the nail head ends up flush with the work piece. The gun is a really good value for the money.

Handy effective good value

A bit heavier than I expected but versatile and easy to use. No jamming on a framing job roughing in a bedroom

Does the job! Countersinks all nails even on a pancake compressor.

Nice product. Looks great with no assembly in a nice case. Good power with no misfires. Does not fire the last 3 nails to prevent jamming but you can load more behind them so it's not a big deal. A bit heavy for overhead stuff maybe I need to get stronger. It has a robust plastic tip out of the box that can be taken off with an Allen wrench. With the tip on toe nailing is not possible. I have used it all day for a week with no misfires. It was worth the price for me.

air rush

works really well but watch the blast of air in the back of the tool when you fire. it could put your eye out if your to close.
