1/4" x 65' Compact Retractable Air Hose Reel

Bracket nice and sturdy

We love the air hose! It moves with you as your work. As you pull it out it clicks so it won’t go back in more offen than others. Hose is very durable.

bought 18 months ago. lightweight and 60ft. long. retracts very smooth. Love it

I had to mount the bracket on a board so I could have the plastic bracket on a solid surface. The hose and reel have worked great so far.

Bought this last March and it leaked 1st time at hose connection in the rotary part. Tried fixing it and it wouldn’t stay fixed so I gave up.Decided to send email to manufacturer in January documenting with photos. They responded quickly and sent me a replacement. The new unit works perfectly! They stand by their products!

Received this today and promptly installed high up on the wall in a corner of my garage. Didn't use supplied hardware as have concrete block garage so used tapcon screws instead. Seems to be mounted very solidly.... but will see how the plastic mount does, I can see there is a bit of movement when pulling the hose further out, so time will tell if that bracket holds up or gets stressed (whereas a metal one never would). The longer lengths of the hose take a bit of pulling out, but it locks in place easily and retracts positively and smoothly, very good (hopefully this mechanism will hold up well over time).I got the quarter inch hose version - it seems a good hose, lies flat and you dont have to fight it like you do with some of them. It does seem a bit stretchy though so again I wonder how this will hold up.... Will update review should I have trouble. All in all, very happy with this for the price paid and makes having air always on tap and ready to go very easy and very neat!

FOR YEARS! Finally popped for it and have setup my entire garage with a nice air system and this is my main outlet to use. It's smooth and simple to use and I'm very happy with it for my use cases.

Received on time as stated. Good quality.

I just wanted a larger diameter hose. If 1/4" works for you this would work fine.

Good Reel, but my 65ft 1/4 hose does not supply enough air for my 1/2 inch impact Driver (does not deliver full power)I don't know if the hose length 65' has anything to do, but if you buy this for your air tools, consider the 3/8 hose

so far so good.. easy to install and exactly what I was looking for...

Absolutely love the freeman air hose reel. It is easy to hang and swivels out of the way when not in use. Wish I had bought this years ago.

Easy to use. Greater than 90 degrees a little harder to use. Retracts pretty easy....

This is a nice, apparently well built, hose reel. It mounts easily and features power driven level wind guide. I have two minor complaints: Most people would mount this high on a wall and the hose entrance is at the top of the reel. It works, but a bottom location would work better. A bigger complaint is the hose itself. the hose is very stretchy, lengthwise. Seems to hold pressure O.K., does not change in diameter, but does not really inspire confidence.

Excellent reel for the money. It is not a commercial reel at a commercial price but great for homeowner or home shop use. Very smooth with a nice flexible hose. I mounted it in my garage and it is long enough to get to my cars parked in my drive. I do have to add my old hose to get to my RV for airing the tires and winterization but still easier than rolling my compressor out and putting out extension cords. My only complaint was with the universal female coupler. It was very difficult to change tools or add the extension hose while under pressure at anywhere near 90 PSI and impossible with anything over 90 PSI. The coupler could have been defective. I have also read that universal couplers can be problematic. I just changed out the female coupler to the common industrial style (M) to match my tools and it works great even at 150 PSI.

Ok, so I've been using this at work for 5 months tomorrow. I have had no issues with it. Glad I bought it, because it keeps the air hose up out of the way. The hose is tangle resistant and plenty long enough for my work space. Definately worth the price.

Works great

This was exactly what I wanted for my garage ...keeps my hose neat and clean but handy when I need it. I will get more use out of my air compressor with this device. Well made and be sure to anchor well when you install it.

This does everything I hoped and more.Super easy to mount and use, very durable. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars was because the mount and mounting pin are plastic. That said, so far it has exceeded my expectations.

So far it is working as designed for my garage use. No complaint. The length is perfect for my 3 car garage.

Got this Freeman retractable hose reel for garage use to make tire inflation on our four vehicles more convenient - previously had to drag air compressor to near vehicles. had OEM springy plastic hose which helped some but was too short. Ordered this Freeman retractable hose reel from Amazon, arrived quickly, very good price. Plastic mount holes too far apart to mount on edge of supposedly 2X4 garage wall stud, had to mount on face of stud instead - seems somewhat flimsy but so far works well. Hose reel OEM couplings are removable leaving 1/4 inch threaded fittings so could easily install vehicle tire inflation chuck on one end, other end threaded fitting, had to jerry rig to screw into the air compressor threaded female connection. Would have been easier if I had a quick attach connector on our compressor. Installed, this retractable hose reel works great - substantial hose locks at convenient lengths when pulled out, retracting loaded spring seems quite adequate, automatic hose leveling/spacing device makes retracting the hose very simple. Hose length makes reaching tires on all four vehicles easy. This Freeman hose reel is an excellent tool especially at its Amazon price.

The ease of installation was great! All I had to do was mount the swivel bracket mount on the wall. All the right fittings so it just plugged right in to the compressor. The only concern was the hose was not spooled properly. It was crisscrossed to the point where it took some effort to pull the hose out. I pulled out all of the hose and gently let it spool back in. The hose properly aligned itself as advertised so I don’t anticipate that happening again. More care during assembly would have prevented that.I had read the reviews prior to purchasing and a few people have had the mounting bracket break. I noticed in the user guide there is a parts breakdown showing the mounting bracket as #19 in the diagram. The parts table only goes to #17. I have to question if that means a replacement bracket might not be available. I plan on contacting the manufacturer just out of curiosity.

The reel is solid and recoil works very well. The built in feeder allows the hose to recoil without and binding or knitting of the hose. The lag bolts provided are entirely to small. After drilling out the mounting plate holes & installing larger lag bolts I am over all happy with the purchase.

Not only is it 65' in length, it works great and will probably order another one for the outbuilding.

Works great. Put under my RV Bus. Can air up like the big boyd

Easy to install design. Air house quality and connections are really well built heavy duty. Casing is larger than expected will need a good 18-24 inches of space for it to pivot right or left. Internal plastic rail that keeps the hose from bunching up on the inside looks and feels cheap, this may fail after the 1 year warranty on this product goes out. This is the only true area of caution in my opinion so far.

I worried needlessly about buying a unit with a hard plastic housing rather than a metal unit. It is sturdy, easy to operate, and seems like it is built to last. It was easy to install. I mounted it seven feet off the ground on the wall above the air compressor and it was a bit awkward to do by myself because of the bulky weight of the unit. The only issue I had was that on the first time I pulled out the hose, it caught after about 16'. I tugged as hard as I thought safe, then I got up and looked inside the unit. Whoever had loaded the hose at the factory was not careful to do so smoothly and the hose was wound under itself around the spindle. Once I pried the hose out from under itself the process has been much better. The auto-guide rewind should eliminate that binding of the hose. Other reviewers were right, hold the hose securely when retracting -- the auto-guide works more efficiently when the hose is fed at a slower pace.

2nd purchase of this item and in short, it's a great product.

Well built, works great!

Perfect for my garage. Easy to hook to my wall. Glad I purchased
