best tool I ever bought for saving time

Worked great.

I added metal mesh to 3 acres of split rail fencing with this and it worked great. No jams. I went through 2 big boxes of staples with jt. I added oil once when opened and once between stable boxes. It's paid for itself at this point. Overall very happy with it.

Exactly as I Hoped For

This stapler made speedy work of attaching galvanized mesh fencing to 6' diameter cedar posts. I haven't used it much - about 650 staples so far - but it has worked flawlessly. No jamming or misfires, perfect depth at 95psi, easy to reload. The metal construction feels solid and sturdy - there's very little plastic anywhere on the tool. The actuator and trigger both have good tension and the action is very powerful. This model is right in the sweet spot for a residential DIY user like myself - between the lighter duty 18 gauge Freeman stapler and the much heavier duty utility staplers from Freeman, Fasco, Paslode, DeWalt and Milwaukee that all come with a price tag in the $400-$1,000 range. All in all quite happy with my purchase and looking forward to getting to use it again for the next stages of my fencing project.

This is not the Cattle Fence level but dog, cat rabbit pens great match

The Item worked right out of the box follow directions and works like a dream. It only had one drawback in corners if I needed to drop a staple and turn the gun upside down it would sometimes double fire. Not all the time I beleieve the count was 8 out of 60 upside down shots. not perfect but for the price and over 1800 staples so far great deal.

Saves hours of time.

This saved hours of time and lots of bruised fingers in installing 80 feet of 6ft high vinyl-coated welded wire fencing. It's often awkward to hammer little fence staples on a rail near the ground, particularly if there are plants in the way. In addition, fence rails bounce or vibrate when you try to drive nails or staples into them with a hammer. Using a pneumatic stapler like this completely eliminates the problem. I would say that 16 gauge x 7/8 staples are about right for most welded wire fences. 18 gauge are too small, and 10.5 gauge are overkill and result in more splitting unless you're going into 4x materiel. This was a very worthwhile investment, and I'll be using again soon.

Has worked very well so far

I have been using the Freeman PFS16 Pneumatic 16 Gauge 1" Fencing Stapler for several weeks. maximum staple size is 1", Also works for 1/2" and 7/8". BUT STAPLES HAVE BEEN VERY HARD TO FIND. I have been using 7/8" staples for 50 ft. L x 48 in. H Galvanized Steel Welded Utility Fence with 4 in. x 2 in. Mesh Size, which I attache to 4" round PT posts for hog and armadillo control. Only drawback so far was a small loose screw on the side of the staple holder (holds small black staple position bracket in place) that fell out and stopped the gun from working. Luckily I found it. Check for loose screws and tighten, I have shot about 2,200 staples so far and have had to deal with 6 staple jams, relatively easy to clear. It drives the staples flush for the wire mesh fence, I rigged a Scuba tank (low pressure outlet ~90-100 PSI) to provide air so I did not need to buy a gasoline powered compressor. One scuba tanks lasts for about 700 staples. As far as price it is competitive with other brands but price was raised $10 in one week blamed on supply chain issues. In other words if it is hard to get they can charge more. I think it will also be appropriate gauge for poultry wire and possibly heavier hog wire (1" staples). Might be a bit narrow for the heaviest hog wire. Overall I am satisfied and it has been worth the investment. But !6 ga staples are hard to find.

Excellent stapler

The stapler arrived promptly and has worked as advertised. The stapler is solidly constructed and I have fired several hundred staples in the past month without incident. Due to building structure considerations, I would not have been able to do this work without a pneumatic stapler. Also, kudos to Freeman, who apparently doesn't sell staples directly to individual customers but they were most helpful in helping me find a vendor that could get the staples to me within my time frame. I recommend this stapler.

Works great but Broke right at 2000 staples.

Worked great until it broke. Something internal. Went thru almost 2000 staples before it broke. Bought mine at HD. I will return it for a new one. Hoping it was just an anomaly. I kept it oiled as directed.

saves me hours

I regularly build chicken pens and this stapler has saved me a lot of time, and smashed fingers, yes bailed fencing staples are much more expensive than those boxes of loose staples, but when you figure in the time wasted driving each individual staple with a hammer the staple gun will save you money in labor cost. in my case it turned a 6+ hour project into like a 30-45 minute project. So far I've fenced 2 coops with it and no jams or other issues, and the 16 fence gauge staples are about perfect for securing the caging wire that i use.

Saved countless hours!

For this project I was attaching wire farm/ garden fence to the inside of a split rail fence to contain our dog. It worked great! I can't imagine how long it would have taken me to hammer about 800 staples by hand. Next up is an improved run for the chickens. Worth every penny in time saved and fingertips not hit with the hammer!

Perfect tool for me

The stapler worked perfectly out of the box. Easy to load and handle. I had a couple of jams, but it was super easy to unjam. It took about 5 seconds. Great purchase!

Fencing Stapler

I finished putting up a 600 foot 3 rail fence and attaching 2x4 welded wire fencing. Not a single problem with the stapler. And I was surprised at how light it was. An excellent value.
